Product Development Process

From the idea to the finished garment: a tailor-made journey, guided by experience and precision.

At REAM CONFEZIONI , each collection is born from a structured and highly customized process, designed to guarantee the customer quality, stylistic consistency, and on-time delivery. We follow each stage with artisanal attention and industrial vision, combining aesthetics and functionality, creativity and technique.

1. Initial briefing & concept analysis

It all starts with an introductory meeting: we analyze the client's vision, brand positioning, target audience, and specific project needs.
Whether it's a complete collection or a single drop, we transform the creative idea into a concrete and feasible development plan, providing consultancy on:

  • Trends and moodboards

  • Collection structure

  • Price targets (pricing targets)

  • Technical and production guidelines

2. Research materials and accessories

Drawing on a consolidated network of Italian and European suppliers, we select the most suitable fabrics and accessories, evaluating performance, aesthetics, availability, and sustainability.
We offer samples of:

  • Natural, technical or regenerated fabrics

  • Accessories such as buttons, zips, labels, embroidery, patches and custom finishes

Each choice is shared and approved by the customer.

3. Technical design & modeling

Our style and modeling office translates ideas into reality through:

  • Creation of technical sketches (flat) or figurines

  • Development of custom or existing CAD paper patterns

  • Creation of complete technical data sheets , with construction details and finishes

This phase guarantees dimensional accuracy, the desired fit and repeatability in production.

4. Prototyping & defect removal

We produce the first prototypes of the chosen garments, faithful to the design and made with the final fabrics.
The customer receives samples to evaluate fit, quality and aesthetics.
The following phase follows:

  • Defects : any corrections to cutting, measurements, proportions

  • Technical refinement : updating of the sheets and confirmation of models

5. Final sampling

Once the final prototypes have been approved, we create the collection samples (or “salesman samples”) intended for photo shoots, promotions or pre-sales.
At this stage the following are also defined:

  • Size gradations

  • Packaging

  • Custom branding (labels, tags, etc.)

6. Production

After final approval, we start mass production according to the established quantities.
Each garment is made in compliance with the highest quality standards, thanks to:

  • Supply chain of selected Italian laboratories

  • Quality controls at every stage (pre, during and post-production)

  • Punctual logistics planning

We are able to manage both small, flexible productions , ideal for startups and capsule collections, as well as larger-scale productions , with continuity and reliability.

7. Quality control & delivery

Each batch is subjected to rigorous quality control , verifying:

  • Compliance with technical specifications

  • Fit and seams

  • Finishing details and branding

Finally, we manage the packaging according to the customer's requests and organize the shipping, with the possibility of:

  • Third party logistics

  • Temporary storage

  • Customized labeling and distribution
